/in announcement, community, news /by HansHello all. Hope this finds you in good health, and in good shape despite the extended lock down. Thanks for your patience – weird times. The good news is that we do expect a return of Pickleball to SF in the next phase of re-opening. It will probably be singles play, with social distancing, masks and health/safety rules followed by tennis. Outdoor play would resume at Presidio Wall, Louis Sutter, Upper Noe Valley, and a newly lined venue at Stern Grove. We will confirm when you will be able to enjoy dinking and seeing friends and opponents on the other side of the net again.
If you need a bit of inspiration and a better court look, during this hiatus several ambitious community members organized a fundraising effort around some really fabulous court accessories – masks, hats and T-shirts. All items are guaranteed to impress, and probably even improve your topspin power serve ! We have various styles and colors, prices are reasonable and proceeds will go into our kitty for equipment and court improvements. Thanks to Alycia, “Big Voice” Bill, Barb plus all their helpers for volunteering to organize, design, sew and pull this offer together.
To order and purchase, you can contact Bill at 415-680-5116 for info or send an email to sfpickleballcommunity@gmail.com.
We also intend to make items available at court venues during re-opening.
See ya’ on the courts once the curve flattens !! Stay healthy.
Rec & Park Survey – please add your voice
/in announcement, community, news /by HansLet the City know we want “Permanent” pickleball courts at Presidio Wall Park. |
We are asking our members to complete the attached on-line survey from Rec & Parks. https://app.maptionnaire.com/en/7025/ It only takes a couple of minutes. Just make sure: 1. You highlight Presidio Wall Park 2. Express interest in getting “PERMANENT” courts (so we don’t have to constantly put up, take down, replace, buy temporary nets) 3. At end of survey …. you must click DONE button to have response counted. THANK YOU Your leadership team (Bill, Ward, Alycia, Gay) Collectively we have a large voice … we need to make it heard. |
